The iconic University Co-Op campus store at the University of Texas at Austin underwent a transformative redesign to elevate its appeal and functionality, while serving as a modern hub to reflect the spirit of the Longhorns. OPTO partnered with Little Architecture to help the Co-Op reimagine the space and align it with the university’s reputation as a powerhouse institution. The refreshed design features modern aesthetics and innovative configurations that house a variety of shop-in-shop experiences, including Texas Exes alumni gear, customized NIL jersey printing, various branded apparel sections, and more.
With customized implementations of OPTO’s Shadowboxes, Evolve floor fixtures, and Edge Wall posts, the space was able to accommodate the stores diverse merchandise mix while incorporating queue line management for improved customer flow, custom fitting rooms, an impressive hat wall display, strategically placed service counters, and tailored layouts to maximize merchandising space for greater product visibility.
